Nelson’s Journey to Success: A Story of Growth and Discipline in the Golden Habits Challenge

At All Kine, we love to celebrate our members’ successes, and today, we’re shining the spotlight on Nelson Jordet, a dedicated member who recently completed the Golden Habits Challenge. Nelson’s journey is a perfect example of how small, consistent changes can lead to big transformations—both in health and mindset. His story shows that personal growth is not just about making changes, but about sticking with them, even when things get tough.

The Inspiration to Start

When asked what inspired him to join the Golden Habits Challenge, Nelson shared a simple but powerful reason: his past results. “I had done the challenge before and was happy with those results,” Nelson said. But like many of us, over time, he found himself slipping back into old habits, especially when it came to nutrition. “I got careless with my eating and nutritional habits,” he admitted. However, once he began seeing positive results again, it became a “no brainer” to stay committed.

For Nelson, the Golden Habits Challenge wasn’t just another task—it was a return to something that worked for him before, and that gave him the motivation to push forward.

A Life-Changing Habit

Throughout the challenge, Nelson developed several new habits, but the one that made the biggest impact on his success was the habit of logging his meals, snacks, and everything else he ate using the “My Fitness Pal” app. At first, it may seem like a small step, but as Nelson explains, it was a game-changer. “It opened my eyes to the poor habits I had picked up, especially the overeating,” he said.

Logging every meal didn’t just make him aware of his food choices—it helped him take control. It showed him where he could improve and gave him the tools to make those improvements consistently. It’s a great reminder that sometimes, tracking our progress is one of the most effective ways to change behavior.

Overcoming Obstacles

As anyone who’s made a change in their lifestyle knows, the road to success is rarely smooth. For Nelson, the toughest obstacle he faced was saying goodbye to sweets. “I have always been a fan of sweets,” he explained, noting that they were always around, especially at work. Quitting sugar was a big challenge, but Nelson didn’t ease into it. He went “cold turkey,” deciding to cut it out completely. The temptation was real, but Nelson stuck with it—and still does.

Giving up sugar and alcohol was no easy feat, but Nelson’s determination paid off. Not only did he succeed in eliminating these habits, but he also proved to himself that he could overcome difficult challenges with discipline and focus.

The Impact of Winning

For Nelson, winning the Golden Habits Challenge wasn’t just about the recognition—it was about the personal growth he experienced along the way. “The winning was a bonus, and I really appreciated the recognition,” he said. But the true reward came from seeing the results of the “In-Body” scan. This scan showed just how far he had come and how hard work had paid off. It was a tangible reminder of his effort and commitment.

Perhaps most importantly, Nelson’s journey gave him confidence. “It was also a great confidence builder,” he reflected. “Seeing that I was able to accomplish this made me feel proud and empowered to continue taking care of myself.”

Advice for Those Thinking About Joining

If you’re thinking about starting your own journey with the Golden Habits Challenge, Nelson has one simple piece of advice: “JUST DO IT!!!” His message is clear. The journey isn’t always easy, but it’s worth it. With the guidance of a supportive coach, a community of participants, and the tools to help you succeed, the challenge is one that can lead to real, lasting change. But, as Nelson puts it, “YOU have to make the decision to take advantage of the opportunities available.”

Nelson’s success in the Golden Habits Challenge is a reminder that consistency, discipline, and the willingness to face challenges head-on can lead to incredible personal growth. Whether you’re trying to build better habits, improve your health, or simply push past your limits, his story is proof that with the right mindset, anything is possible. So, if you’re ready to take the plunge, just like Nelson, take that first step. The journey might be tough, but the rewards are worth it.
