Why did you choose All Kine CrossFit?
I met Kim Vanderlaan, an AKCF member, at 1-man canoe paddling. She would mention going to the gym. She was fit and full of energy. I wanted and needed to do more than just paddle so I asked her about her gym and CrossFit. I also saw FB posts of multiple friends working out at All Kine. They were having fun while getting their sweat on. I finally made it to “Bring A Friend Friday” with Kim. It was such a great and fun workout that I signed up that week.
Why do you keep coming back?
There are so many reasons – Workouts are so varied that it never gets boring and I feel so accomplished afterwards. I continue to improve in the movements and see physical results! I just feel so much better about myself. The coaches are fantastic. They push me without me feeling pressured. The people are fun, friendly and also supportive.
What’s your best story about All Kine CrossFit?
I’ve been a member for almost a year and a half and the journey has been so wonderful. The gym itself is a great place to be but there’s also more community beyond working out. Last year’s Christmas party was a blast! These people are savage competitors when it comes to cookie decorating!!! Who knew? It was loud, messy, creative and hilarious. Everyone had so much fun hanging out and enjoying each other’s company
What advice would you give the person you were a year ago?
Show up and put in the work. It will absolutely pay off.
